Photo Shoot #150 -Cape Canaveral, Florida
When Jennifer mentioned the dream of going weightless with the Zero Gravity Corporation (ZERO-G®) during our appearance on Good Morning America we never expected it to happen. You can imagine our surprise when they contacted us that afternoon. We quickly scheduled a flight near Cape Canaveral, Florida and prepared for a thrill few people ever experience. To date, they have over 500 commercial flights with G-FORCE ONE®, their modified Boeing 727, and have flown more than 12,000 people from around the world.
From day one, their amazing staff helped us prepare to enjoy every minute and maximize our success at capturing our 150th wedding dress photo shoot. Given my history of extreme sensitivity to undulating motion, we were obviously concerned. Their staff is expertly trained to address these issues, safety concerns, and even how to get the best photos. Every step of the way was well thought out and communicated clearly.
As you can see from our photos, we thoroughly enjoyed every second of our 15 parabolic maneuvers which took us through a range of gravity from 0 to 1.8G. As wild as it was to float as if in space, it was equally cool to maneuver under 1.8Gs.
Anyone composing a bucket list, should be adding the Zero-G Weightless Experience® to their list. We experienced more minutes of weightlessness than those who will pay ¼ million dollars to take the first sub-orbital flights into space. It was not surprise to me when we go off the plane and Jennifer volunteered to try that shot again. It’s certainly a compelling thought, especially considering they have a frequent flyer program!
